Outdoors NSW & ACT is pleased to announce the commencement of a new trial program aimed at exploring and enhancing training pathways and professional development across the outdoor industry. This initiative will be led by Nitin Bangalore, who joins the team in a part-time capacity from Monday 18 May 2025.
The program forms part of the implementation of the soon to be released 2025–2028 Outdoors NSW & ACT Strategic Plan, which places a strong focus on building industry capacity and unlocking career pathways. Nitin’s role will be to engage stakeholders across education, recreation, tourism, and therapy sectors to understand needs, identify gaps, and explore sustainable solutions for workforce development.
Nitin joins Outdoors NSW & ACT through a collaborative trial partnership with Southbound Adventures, bringing a passion for building collaborative networks and a deep commitment to skills development in the sector.
“I’m looking forward to connecting and engaging with stakeholders, industry partners, and outdoor providers with a vision to learn and grow together to create a sustainable outdoor industry,” said Nitin Bangalore.
This trial program directly supports the Strategic Plan's focus to "advocate for and broker efficient and effective training pathways that lead into opportunities for employment, volunteerism and industry growth." By strengthening professional development and training opportunities, this initiative will contribute to a stronger, more future-ready outdoor workforce.
Attendees of the 2025 Outdoor Industry Summit in Canberra this July will have an opportunity to meet with Nitin and discuss how this program can support their organisational and workforce goals.
