Outdoors NSW & ACT (ONSWACT) warmly congratulates Paul Davenport of Affinity Insurance Brokers on being named the 2026 National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Community Excellence Member of the Year.

Presented at the NIBA Convention on the Gold Coast on 19 October, the award recognises service beyond everyday professional responsibilities and the difference individuals make in their communities.

For ONSWACT, this recognition is an opportunity to celebrate the people and partnerships that help strengthen the outdoor industry. As an ONSWACT partner, Affinity Insurance Brokers supports our work towards a capable, connected and sustainable industry.

Paul’s contribution also extends into youth development. NIBA highlighted his decades of involvement with horses, from teaching children to ride to supporting programs that build confidence and help young people navigate life’s challenges. This includes initiatives in the Northern Territory and with Indigenous youth.

ONSWACT CEO Lori Modde congratulated Paul on the recognition.

“Behind every meaningful outdoor experience are people who care about making it possible. Paul’s commitment to young people and our outdoor community reflects the values we celebrate across our industry,” Ms Modde said.

“Outdoor experiences can create opportunities for confidence, connection and personal growth. It is wonderful to see national recognition for someone contributing to those opportunities through a sustained commitment to others.

“On behalf of Outdoors NSW & ACT, our Board and members, congratulations Paul, and congratulations to the Affinity team. This is an achievement worth celebrating.”

ONSWACT also congratulates the other award finalists and welcomes recognition of the community service that supports stronger, more inclusive communities.

Congratulations, Paul, on this well-deserved national honour.
