Have your say: vote in the 2026 NSW & ACT Outdoor Industry Awards People’s Choice

The outdoor industry is full of people and organisations who do much more than deliver activities. They create confidence, build connection, support wellbeing, introduce people to nature, strengthen communities and help more people enjoy the outdoors safely.


Now it is time for the community to have its say.


As part of the 2026 NSW & ACT Outdoor Industry Awards, Outdoors NSW & ACT is inviting the public, participants, schools, families, partners and industry peers to vote in the People’s Choice Award.


This award gives the outdoor community the opportunity to recognise the organisations they believe are most relevant, trusted and valuable in the outdoor industry. It is a chance to shine a light on the providers who are making a real difference — whether through outdoor education, recreation, adventure tourism, outdoor therapy, events, play, or the many supporting services that help the industry thrive.


The 2026 Outdoor Industry Awards celebrate excellence across NSW and the ACT, with categories recognising emerging professionals, outstanding contribution, organisations of the year, adventure events, outdoor play, supporting organisations and more. The Awards bring the adventurous activity community together to acknowledge the work being done across the industry and to celebrate those helping people get outdoors more often.


The People’s Choice voting is open from 15 May to 15 June 2026, with the public invited to vote for their favourite entry.

Voting is quick and simple. You will be asked to rank the outdoor organisations you feel are most relevant, trusted or valuable, and you will also have the option to provide a comment about your top choice. Your vote matters. It helps recognise the organisations that participants trust, communities value and the industry respects.


The winners will be celebrated at the 2026 Outdoor Industry Awards Evening on 16 July 2026 in Jervis Bay, NSW.


So, whether you have been inspired by an outdoor educator, supported by a recreation provider, guided through an unforgettable adventure, connected through an outdoor play initiative, or worked alongside an organisation that quietly does great things — now is the time to give them your vote.
