This picturesque hike is a hidden wilderness gem in the heart of the suburbs. Highlights include tranquil lake views, cascading waterfalls along Hunts Creek, and the wildlife-rich bushland of Bidjigal Reserve—home to wallabies, echidnas, powerful owls, and Aboriginal rock shelters. The trail offers a mix of peaceful forest paths, sandstone outcrops, and opportunities for birdwatching, making it a rewarding full-day hike. Cost: $219 (Early bird $199 by June 30) Meeting Time: 8.00 am Meeting Location: Lake Parramatta Car Park- end of Illawong Drive, North Parramatta Maximum number: 15 Difficulty: Moderate/Challenging – the track is a mix of bush trail hiking, some creek crossings and road walking included. You need good balance and to be comfortable on uneven terrain Fitness Requirements: Good level of fitness, good general health. Finish Time: Approx. 5.00 pm
